Halifax River Yacht Club
This project involved design of a new clubhouse and docks to serve the Halifax River Yacht Club. Zahn Engineering, Inc. designed and permitted the building and associated parking and landscaping, through the City of Daytona Beach, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the St. Johns River Water Management District. Zahn Engineering also coordinated construction administration. Construction was completed in 2007.
The Twin Fountains Business Center in South Daytona, Florida is a 25,850 sf shopping center completed in 2006. Zahn Engineering was responsible for the site plan design and permitting of the business center through the City of South Daytona for Site Plan approval (including construction drawings for paving, drainage, and utilities), permit applications to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for water and sewer, the St. John’s River Water Management District for storm drainage construction, and to the Florida Department of Transportation for driveway and drainage connection permits.
Zahn Engineering, Inc. was responsible for the design and permitting of 192 single family lots located in Ormond Beach, Florida, known as the Pineland Subdivision. This project involved a complex interconnected PONDS stormwater model to analyze the interaction with the proposed development and an extensive wetland conveyance through the project. The ecologically sensitive and valuable characteristics of the site were maintained with extreme avoidance and minimization techniques in combination with the design of large culvert conveyance connections set to specific control elevations. This project has final approval of the construction documents.
